Facebook Strategy
After looking over a few of my posts throughout the semester I feel its clear as day that many of my posts went unnoticed. Initialy this seems to have been due to a lack of activity on the page, which is something that would be easily fixable. Past lack of activity, however, the biggest obstacle seems to be getting these posts in front of people in the first place. Having these posts mainly confined to a single page and mainly only sharing them among my classmates may not have been the best idea, but this could be remedied by sharing posts from my page with my own family and friends. Once a small following gathers, should I decide to continue the blog and its facebook page, two ideas that come to mind would be possibly spending a small amount of money to boost my posts, which would allow them to be seen by an entirely new group of people. My other plan for the page would be to frequently post links to the blog itself, whether or not there was new content on the blog at the time. This would maximize the convenience of my facebook audience as they would not have to hunt through my older facebook posts to find a link to the blog.
Facebook Post Commentary
This first post explaining how I would be revving up the facebook page, so to speak, flew under the radar, without any likes or comments. Looking back, the reason for this seems to be that up until that point facebook had been more of a secondary focus to me, behind the blog. This is clearly the result of that lack of focus, as it seems no one was expecting a post to have been made to like in the first place.

This more recent post also seems to have been completely ignored. After having looked through the info graph for why we like and comment on facebook, I feel my failure with this post can be attributed to a few things. Firstly, It did not have enough visibility, as I did not share it in enough places. the process of leaving a like or comment is quick and easy, and thus if I can get a post in front of someone more easily it will be more likely to receive likes and comments. Then, once the comments begin rolling in, people may begin to share the post, as to help let their family and friends join in on the conversation that was sparked.
